We accept applications year round, however students are not officially scholars until they participate in a LSAMP UNIV course for freshmen/sophomores or a series of workshops for juniors. Any questions about the application can be sent to the program coordinator at michael.petro@uconn.edu. Make sure to check below for eligibility before downloading the application.

Eligibility

Eligibility for the LSAMP program is restricted to underrepresented minority* students in certain STEM majors.

Additional Eligibility
• Enrolled at UConn in an undergraduate STEM major
• Expressed interest in pursuing a STEM baccalaureate degree
• Expressed interest in pursuing an advanced degree in a STEM discipline
• Completed LSAMP application form

*African American/Black, Hispanic/Latinx, Native American, Alaska Native, or Pacific Islander (includes Filipino)

LSAMP Recruitment for incoming and existing UConn students for the 2019-2020 school year will begin in May.
